New Delhi: England will allow visitors who are fully vaccinated from the United States and the European Union – French restrictions – without having to quarantine on arrival starting August 2.
This step is a long-awaited encouragement for airlines and travel companies.
“We helped bring together people living in US countries and Europe with their families and friends,” Minister of Transport Grants Shapps Tweeted on Wednesday.
“Changes will apply to people who are fully vaxxed with the FDA or EMA vaccine.” However, visitors still have to take Covid-19 tests before departure and immediately after arriving in the UK.
The policy will take effect from 4:00 a.m.
(0300 GMT) on August 2.

Separate rules will continue to apply for those who come from France.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson previously said that he wanted US citizens to come to England “free” and were discussing travel corridors with the United States, which would mean restarting two-way traffic with the US.
The opening of England is likely to be followed by the whole of England.
England is currently in the middle of another wave of a virus which is driven by the Delta variant.
But the number of cases has dropped during the past week, and the drive vaccine drive has seen more than 70 percent of adults completely stab.
