Queen Margrethe, Danish Unifying Strength, 50th Jobel Fetes

Copenhagen: Denmark on Friday 50-year-old Queen Margrethe II, an artistic king and a ruling smoking chain in 1972 in the midst of support for the nobles but who is now loved by his uniting presence.
At the age of 81, which is always elegant-margrethe, with a white-haired trademark, now is the second old king in Danish history and the first woman who holds the ruled queen position.
In the past five decades, he has a scandal beyond and helps modernize institutions, making the Danish royal family one of the most popular in the world.
“When he became a Queen, only 45 percent of Denmark supported the monarchy,” Gitte Redder journalist, who had written several books about Denmark Royals, told AFP.
“They don’t believe in monarchy in modern democracy.” Which has changed today.
Voxmeter 2018 poll found that more than three Danish quarters supported the monarchy, while only 14.6 percent wanted the Scandinavian country to become a republic.
“The basis of its popularity is that the Queen is truly non-political,” historian Lars Hovebakke Sorensen told AFP.
“He managed to become a Queen who had integrated the Danish state in the time of a major change: globalization, the appearance of multicultural countries, the economic crisis in the 1970s, 1980s and again in 2008, and pandemic,” he said.
The celebration for Yobel has been moistened by Covid, with a large general celebration postponed until September.
He will mark the opportunity Friday by placing a bouquet of flowers in his parents’ grave in Roskilde after attending the ceremony in parliament.
– A strong task – at the age of 31 years, Lanky’s crown daughter acceded the throne on a foggy January on her father’s death Frederik IX.
The sadness of the sadness of two young boys, he now has eight grandchildren is the first woman to become the Queen who ruled in the oldest monarchy in Europe.
He took the name of his government Margrethe II after Margrethe I ruled Denmark from 1375-1412 but never officially held the title.
“He has a strong task and never questioned his destiny,” said historian Tom Buk-Swienty.
In a documentary, Margrethe said his father taught him to welcome the love of his people.
“You have to accept it.
Not just a wave, you have to accept it,” he remembered him told him.
The widow in 2018, the Queen, lovingly nicknamed Daisy by its people, gradually modernized the monarchy to remain relevant, without reducing its status.
He has become a face of an open and hard monarchy, allowing his two sons to marry ordinary people, and have himself involved in the Danish cultural scene.
With sparkling blue eyes and a big smile, he always put neatly, his white hair was swept away on bread.
Only one photo believed to have him with his hair down.
But he is also known for a relaxed and pleasant side, occasionally answering reporters’ questions with a naughty smile.
In his access, he allowed himself interviewed by 20 Danish public members for television shows recently celebrating his Yobel.
– Queen of Arts – a painter and costume and designer set, he has worked with Royal Danish ballet and the Royal Danish theater on many occasions.
Also fluent speakers from Denmark, Sweden, France, England and Germany, he has taken part in several complicated translation projects, including the Danish version of 1981 from Simone de Beauvoir “all humans” with a pseudonym in cooperation with the birth of France.
Husband, Prince Henrik.
Intellect and many talents make it a popular role model for Denmark.
“The speech is always very good.
Danes always feels like they learn something,” said Hovebakke Sorensen.
But this is mainly the painting and pictures that have received awards.
He has illustrated several books, including Denmark 2002 JRR edition of Tolkien “The Lord of the Rings”, and his paintings have been exhibited at the prestigious museums and galleries in Denmark and abroad.
With his 82nd birthday approached in April, Margrethe had repeatedly insisted he would never resign from his assignment.
“I will stay on the throne until I fall,” he said.
There is no abdication tradition in Denmark, the state is 5.8 million inhabitants.
The only king who must resign is Erik III.
Coronated in 1137, he left the nine-year throne later to join a monastery.
