Bhubaneswar: Hockey Legend and Chairman of the Hoki Odisha promotion board, Dilip Tirkey, received a queen stick for the 2022 Commonwealth Games which reached the city on Friday.
Leading Odisha props like Anuradha Bal Bal, Shadhanjali Samantray and Officials of the Department of Sports and members of the Olympic Association Odisha were present at the Biju Patnik International Airport to welcome the stick stick.
Baton Relay will stay in the city on Friday night while it will be taken to Puri and Konark on Saturday.
A few hours later, it will be brought back to the city for symbolic relay at Kalinga Stadium, where the leading sportsman will participate.
The state has made complicated arrangements for that purpose.
