Hyderabad: In the first step like that, the Telangana Excise Ministry has recommended bookings to issue licenses of liquor outlets to Dalit and tribal applicants, because they added 226 additional outlets as part of the new liquor policy.

In addition, officials plan to raise application costs from existing RS 2 Lakh.
In 2019, application costs increased to 2 lakh from RS 1 Lakh.
The government received 48213 applications from retailers and earned income from RS 972 Crore at that time.
