Patna: Two senior IPS officers and 14 other police personnel at Bihar have been chosen for the prestigious president medal on the occasion of the Republic of this year.
ADG (Operation) Sushil Mansingh Kopde (Batch 1995) and ADG (Special Branch) Sunil Kumar (Batch 1996) will be provided with a presidential police medal for leading services.
14 other police personnel have been chosen for police medals for assigned services, according to the notification issued by the Interior Ministry on Tuesday.
They include sub-inspectors (SI) Laxman Kumar Sinha (ADG Rail Patna), the Dinesh Kumar Mishra (Patna Police), Si Shubkant Choudhary (SCRB Patna), driver Havildar Braj Kishor Singh (ATS Patna), Havildar Driver Shah Mohammad from Kaimur , HAVILDAR Rajesh Kumar Hansda from Buxar, Havildars Anil Kumar Shrivastava, Uday Pratap Singh and Jitendra RAM from BSAP-2 Dehri, Rohtas and Band Havildar MD Nasim, BSAP-2, Dehri, Havildar Madan Tiwari, BSAP-14 Patna, Constable Bharat Prasad Yadav from Banka, Sepoy Ramesh Prasad from BSAP-3 Bodh Style and Driver Cid Patna Vijay Kumar.
ADG (HQ) Jitendra Singh Gangwar congratulated police officers and said it was a great honor for the entire police.
He told this newspaper: “We are very proud of their achievements and officers have shown their professionalism in careers and has been awarded at the highest level.

The other four central units will also get a police medal for their merit service.
