New Delhi: Towards Republican Day, Delhi Police Special Cell Unit has arrested two people for allegedly involved in the supply of illegal weapons, officials said on Tuesday.
The defendant was identified as Ravi Khan (40), the population of the Prayagraj District above, and Rahul Singh Chhabda (23), a resident of the Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh, they said.
According to the police, they received information that Chhabda and his colleagues supplied illegal weapons at Uttar Pradesh and Delhi / NCR from Madhya Pradesh.
The police got a tip-off, put a trap in the Mukundpur area on January 15 and arrested Khan.
He came there to supply the consignment of illegal weapons.
A total of 15 semi-automatic pistols were restored from him, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (specific cells) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said.

On January 16, the police team went to MP and arrested Chhabda from Dhar, DCP said.

Chhabda is used to get an illegal gun from the village supplier and the nearest area and further supply for Delhi’s criminals, Haryana and Rajasthan directly or through Ko-accuse Khan and others, police said.
During further interrogation, it was revealed that Chhabda had a relationship with several foreign-based modules involved in hawala activities.
It was also revealed that Chabda received big money from the module through illegal channels, added the police.
