New Delhi: Bureaucrat – Politician Politician Raj Kumar Singh, who directed the Modi Power Sector Reform Agenda which made the Indian surplus in electricity, on Wednesday increased as a cabinet minister from the rank of Minister of State.
Singh was given an oath as an Union cabinet minister by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind tonight.
During his term, he managed Grid Power and brought reforms in the distribution sector which had been full of debt for years.
The power request in the country touched the highest of all time of 197.06 gw on Tuesday.
In addition, Singh also works in the field of clean energy to increase the addition of renewable energy such as the sun and wind.
During his term, solar power rates fell to the lowest level of all time of Rs 1.99 per unit.
Likewise, wind energy rates also dropped down to RS 3 per unit in auctions for projects in India during their tenure as Minster’s new and renewable energy.
Singh, who has been chosen twice to Lok Sabha in 2014 and 2019 from Arrah in Bihar, has become the Minister of State (independent charge) for new and renewable power and energy in September 2017.
He holds two ministries until May 2019.
After the re-election to 17 Lok Sabha in May 2019, he defended the two portfolios.
In addition, he also received the Ministry of Skills and Entrepreneurship Development as the Minister of State.
Before becoming a minister, bureaucrats changed politicians Singh were members of many parliamentary committees.
Singh has started his career as an Indian police officer (IPS) in 1974 and became an Indian Administrative (IAS) officer in 1975.

He was the main secretary, road construction department, the Bihar government from 2006 to 2009.
He was also a defense production of the Secretary of the United States from 2009 to 2011.
He also held a post-secretary of the 2011 Union home until June 2013.
