New York: The fate of R.
Kelly is now in the hands of the jury after weeks of Lurid’s testimony in the trial of his sexual violation.
The seven men panels and five women began to deliberate filling and allegations of sex trade against R & B superstar Friday afternoon, ending the day without reaching their verdict to be back in court on Monday to continue their work.
A few hours into the deliberation, the judges sent a judge who asked to review the transcript of the testimony and evidence of a woman who claimed Kelly attacked him sexually in 2003 when he was a 21-year-old radio station.
He testified he continued to be locked up in a recording studio for days and was sedated before the attack.
Prosecution and defense lawyers completed their closing argument this week.
The 54-year-old singer was accused of running a criminal company based in Chicago which recruited the accusations for sex and unwanted mental torture.
The witnesses said Kelly subjected them to her perverted and sadistic naughty when they were underage.
He denied the mistake.
Kelly “believes music, fame and celebrities means he can do whatever he wants,” Assistant Attorney General Nadia Shihata in the Federal Court in Brooklyn in a rebuttal fiery to the closing argument of the dispute that described Kelly as a false accusation victim.
But, he added, “He is not a genius, he is a criminal.
Predator.” He added that the alleged victim “was not a groupies or gold digger.
It was human.” Kelly is 54 years old, perhaps the most famous because of the 1996 smash success “I believe I can fly,” has begged innocent on charges of extortion that accused him of abusing women, girls and boys for more than two decades.
He was also charged with many violations of the Mann law, which made him illegal to transport anyone in the entire state line “for immoral purposes.” The prosecutor said the evidence they proved how Kelly, with the help of several loyal members of his entourage, using tactics from “The Playbook Predator” to exploit victims sexually.
The tactics included isolate them in the hotel room or recording studio, lowering them to rule the rules such as making him call him “father” and shoot video recording – some are seen by the jury in court – from them having sex with him and others as a means to control them, said prosecution .
In his closing, the DEVERUX CANNICK prosecutor’s defense told the jury that testimony by several lies, and that “the government let them lie.” Canick argues that there is no evidence that the accuser Kelly was once forced to do anything against their will.
Instead, Cannick said, Kelly’s boyfriend was trapped because he spoiled it with free air travel, spee shopping, and luxury dinner – treatment that imposed a predatory label.
“He gave them a luxurious lifestyle,” he said.
“That’s not what predators should do.”
