Chennai: Governor of Tamil Nadu-Designate R N Ravi will be sworn in as Governor 26 Tamil Nadu in Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
Chairman of Madras Madras High Court Sanjib Banerjee will give an office oath to Ravi.
The swear ceremony will take place on the courtyard of Raj Bhavan at 10:30 a.m.
Ravi was born in Patna in Bihar.
He holds a master’s degree in physics and has a brief task in journalism before becoming an IPS officer Kader Kerala in 1976.
He holds a position in the CBI, the country’s main investigation body, and at IB, the Premier Intelligence Agency.
According to the official release of Raj Bhavan, Ravi, who specializes in the dynamics of human migration in South Asia, works widely at the political sociology of the border population.
He plays an important role in conflict resolution in areas affected by ethnic rebellion.
“He is an architect of Indian international cooperation in counter terrorism and sharing intelligence,” his broadcast.
As chairman of the intelligence committee together at the Prime Minister’s office, he coordinated the institution to meet state intelligence needs.
The Narendra Modi government appointed Ravi as a central interlocutor for the peace talks of Dragon in August 2014, and then the representative of the National Security Advisor in October 2018.
Ravi became Governor of Nagaland in August 2019.
