Lucknow: Continuing investigation into alleged conversion of illegal religion, anti-terrorist squad (ATS) from Pradesh Police Uttar arrested three other defendants on Sunday.
Inspector General of Police, ATS, Gajendra Kumar Goswamy, who is the spearhead of the probe, said that the three names emerged in the interrogation of the defendant Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui Ulama, who allegedly ran the largest conversion syndicate throughout the country.
“We caught Idris Qureshi, Saleem and Kunal Ashok alias Anias of Lucknow,” said Goswamy.

On the other hand, IG Goswamy also said that the defendant Idris Qureshi was collected funds for the last 20 years for Jamiatul Imam Waliullah Al Islamiyyah Madrasa run by Kalim Siddiqui and also active in the operation of madrasas.
“The Madrasah above is run as the conversion center accused of Kalim Siddiqui, where ‘tarabiyat’ activities, the important stage of the conversion is done,” Goswamy said.
