Lucknow: Two criminals, deceiving job seekers with the pretext of accommodating them at the US Embassy and the British High Commission, arrested by special task forces (STF) from Thakurganj on Friday.
The people arrested were identified as Rajesh Gupta and Abhishek Gupta, both the native of Kakori in Lucknow.
STF began working in the case after one Tribhuvan Singh from Mathura was cheated by Rs 25 Lakh by the defendant who convinced him that his sons would get a job at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Additional police supervisors, STF, Vishal Vikram Singh said that the duo was running the racket between countries.
They usually meet job seekers outside the training institution and give them profitable work deals.

He then met Abhishek who was running a job racket.
Abbishek has begun to print a letter of appointments of fake meetings from the US Embassy and government departments, Singh said.
“The Duo has postponed Shubham Chauhan from Kanpur Rs 5 Lakh, Sibbu Pandey of Siddharthnagar Rs 4 Lakh and several others involving more than Rs 1 Crore,” added additional police officers.
