New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday, citing a media report attacking the central government for alleged corruption in transferring money on Jan Dhan’s account.
According to media reports, the Indian state bank has reduced the total number of RS 164 Crore from Jan Dhan’s account holder.
The report quoted a study by IIT Bombay.
Media reports say between 2017 and September 2020, the Bank has collected a total RS 254 Crore from Jan Dhan’s account holder for transactions through UPI and Rupay cards.
The bank has collected Rs 17.70 from each account holder during this period.
In this case, Gandhi wrote on Twitter, “Who is responsible for maintaining an account from this money?” Congress leader has attacked the MOD government for corruption.
Towards the 2019 General Election, the Congress has accused corruption in acquiring Rafale Jet from Dassault.
