New Delhi: Strategic Pollika Prashant Kishor on Tuesday met former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka, in a movement that could be significant for the party in Punjab early next year.
Prashant Kishor’s meeting with the leadership of the Congress came a few days after he met with the chairman of the Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh, who was locked in a bitter political battle with the Cricketer-Pollitician Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Amarinder, who prepared to maintain strength for the second term, has appointed Kishor Prashant as his main advisor.
Sidhu has vocal about the difference with the Minister of Punjab’s head and is not ready for each compromise that does not ensure significant profits for him.
He had left the Ministry of Punjab in 2019 after his portfolio was changed by the minister’s chairman.
Both leaders have openly traded thorns with each other, many are embarrassing the leadership of the Congress.
Sidhu recently met both Rahul and Priyanka, who tried to make a ceasefire between the conflicting Punjab faction.
Amarinder, on the other hand, has met with the President of the Interim Congress Sonia Gandhi in an effort to resolve the crisis.
After the meeting, Amarinder said he would obey whatever decided, but refused to comment on the difference with Sidhu.
With the selection of assembly in the maturing state early next year, Congress tried his best to end a fight in the state unit.
Prashant Kishor has met with several opposition leaders in recent months.
Several meetings with the Head of the National Congress of the National Congress of Sharad Pawar recently sparked speculation about the possibility of re-arrangement of the opposition party.
However, Prashant Kishor has stated that every opposition coalition must have a congress as part of it.
