Panaji: Senior Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Goa on Saturday to overcome the convention of active members, the Congress Committee of Congress Pradesh (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar, said.
Gandhi’s visit to Goa assumed that the importance in the face of damage to the congress had suffered from the entry of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in a state of polls.
After senior officials and former head of Minister Luizinho Faleiro separated and joined a better prospect, Congress had seen several party workers throughout the block following.
“The moral party workers have come down.
It is hoped that Gandhi’s visit will do damage and prevent others who might be on the way out.
His visit will be a moral booster,” said the party source.
Gandhi’s visit will coincide with the Minister of Bengal Bengal Barat Mamata Banerjee’s who will arrive at Goa on October 28.
