PANAJI: Hitting Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his claim that Goa has not seen developments, the Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant said that there was no substance in claims by Gandhi who was visiting Goa “like tourists”.
The minister’s chairman said that people should not be with what Gandhi said when they were here and had witnessed the type of development that had occurred.

Reacting to the Congress MP claims that the government has failed in Covid management, providing employment and to improve tourism activities, the main minister said, “Gandhi was in Goa for a vacation.
If he could not see so many developments in the state, so I failed to understand What he did in Goa.

“Congress asked his candidate to take a loyalty promise and sign Affidavit Anti-Defection, Sawant said that the Congress candidate must say again and again that they are loyal to the party.
“Congress does not have faith in them, and the leadership of the Congress does not believe in his candidates and even Gandhi does not believe them,” he said.
The minister’s chairman said that a few days ago, Congress took his candidate to the temple, mosque and the church and managed the oath that they would not leave Congress.
“When Congress doesn’t believe in them, then how will Goa people believe in them?” Sawant said.
Congress did not know when they would leave a party and that was the reason the Goa people had trust in BJP and its candidates, he said.
