Rahul Gandhi walked to Vaishno Devi cave temple

Jammu: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrived at Vaishno Devi’s eyes on foot from Katra on the first day of his two-week trip to Jammu on Thursday.
“I came here to give a prayer.
I don’t want to make political comments here,” Rahul said on his arrival.
Congress officials were welcomed by enthusiastic party workers by showering the petals outside the airport Jammu.
Then, he was led by an impressive general meeting to the city of Jammu from where he went to Katra to pay respect at the Temple of the Sacred Cave.
A party spokesman said, “On Friday, Rahul Ji will interact with the party delegation in Jammu starting at 11am to 12:30 p.m.
He will also hold a functional interaction with the senior party before returning to New Delhi.” Previously, Rahul had visited the Union J & K area on August 9 to inaugurated the new party office in Srinagar and then went to Kheer Bhawani Temple and Hazratbal Dargah Sharif as “Hindu tokens”.
