New Delhi: Congress is pondering a proposal to appoint more than one vice president as part of the exercise to fill the emptiness of leadership created by delaying general elections to the President’s post and Rahul Gandhi’s refusal formally responsible.
Although the proposal has worked for more than a year, it has aromed up once again after delaying the recent organizational poll.
A senior leader said that the proposal was discussed but must be seen if it would produce results in the upcoming AICC reshuffle.
He said the current discussion was whether to appoint “vice president” or “the president who worked”.
The latter means putting the leader responsible for the party without the president of full time.
As reported earlier, the proposal strives to appoint vice president with zone responsibilities.
There is also speculation about the continuation of the AICC Secretary General who is responsible for Priyanka Gandhi Vadra with the same responsibility.
Head of State for early elections 2022.
