Rahul raises the problem of farmers in LS, demanding compensation

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the central government during the winter session at Lok Sabha on Tuesday for the issue of agricultural law and demanded compensation for relatives of farmers who died when protesting three central agricultural laws.
“I want that farmers will be given their rights, they must be compensated and work,” MP Congress said during the winter session process at Lok Sabha today.
Hit in the midst of no data about farmers who died during agricultural law protests, Rahul Gandhi accused that around 700 farmers died during the farm movement but the government did not have the data.
He said the table data on Lok Sabhfrom, the Punjab government was given to the family who had died farmers who had died and the names of farmers from Haryana.

A meeting was held on Saturday where the future courses of farmers agitation were based on the pending demands of farmers discussed.
These demands include legal guarantees for minimum support prices (MSP) and rehabilitation for relatives of farmers who die during agitation, among others.
The next SKM meeting will be held today.
Parliamentary winter session began on November 29 and is scheduled to conclude on December 23.
