NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday slams the government not committed to the timeline to complete the vaccination drive and say this is a “classic case of a missing spine”.
Gandhi tried to know where the vaccine was and said the lives of the people on the phone.
“The lives of people on the telephone, the Indonesian government received the timeline, the classic case of the spine lost,” Gandhi said on Twitter.
He used the “#wherearevaccines” hashtag and citing news reports that said “There is no fixed deadline to complete drive vaccination in India: The government tells the parliament”.
His statement came a day after the government told Lok Sabha that there was no fixed timeline that could be demonstrated now to settle the Covid-19 vaccination drive in this country given the nature of dynamic and developing pandemic.
However, the government said it is expected that all beneficiaries aged 18 years and over will be inoculated in December.
Spokesman for Congress Randeep Surjewala also said, “The mode government lies are exposed to the answer to Shri Rahul Gandhi’s question in parliament in vaccination.”
