Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), as part of the money laundering probe, on Thursday storming the premise of six people in Pune to cheat claiming the compensation of almost Rs 8 Crore as a substitute for land registered with the Wakf Council.
The Wakf Council was under the Minister of Construction of the State Minority, Nawab Malik from NCP.
There is no search done at any Wakf board office, which is a complainant in the case of related police.
Malik also said that Ed did not storm the Wakf board office.
It was stated that six people who had received compensation for state governments in their personal accounts were suspected of being the front for some strong people.
Ed investigated the trail of money to track beneficiaries.
Money laundering case was based on the FIR filed at the Bund Park Police Station in Pune in August 2021 by Pune Regional Officer Maharashtra Board Wakf.
The defendant was forged by NOC, received a payment of Hospital 8 Crore from the government to trust landrecently, ed documents collected related to the case of Pune Pune and then registered money laundering cases.
Early on Thursday, ED officials formed seven teams, and they raided the premise accused of Thesix, which was believed to have acted on instructions of others.
Ed has recorded a statement of five people accused and therefore will decide on the next action, said the source.
