Ludhiana: Railhern Railways operates the first AC Parcel Express on Friday.
It was operated from Sahnewal, close to Ludhiana (Ferozepur Division), to Yeshwantpur in the Southwest Railroad sector.
Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, the northern series, said, “The first AC Parcel Express train consisting of 20 second and third air coaches, carrying a cooling cargo, departing from Warehwal to Yeshwantpur at 1.45 in the morning.
This is the first time the coach carries the passengers AC has been used to transport cargo, weighing 121 tons, which consists of snacks, chocolate, raw materials for chocolate, noodles, sauces and textiles, among others.
