Nagpur: An employee of South East Central Railway (SECR) was arrested along with a memo dealer for allegedly stealing a scarf material from the Railway store at Maharashtra’s Nagpur, an official said on Tuesday.
The power of railroad protection (RPF) has captured Santosh Hansalal Nagpure (27) staff, a resident of Kalamna and Dealer Scrap Kallu Maiyadin Shahu (30), officials said.
The theft was revealed when officials noticed that 99 kg winding copper was lost from a secr shop in Kalamna, after the RPF began investigating and focusing on Nagpure, he said.
On the basis of Nagpure’s statement, the RPF arrested Shahu from his shop and restored the stolen copper cable, the official said, added that violations in the provisions of the railroad property (ownership of illegal) were registered against the defendant.
