NEW DELHI: The Indian Railways has given 20,770 tonnes of liquid chemical oxygen into 15 countries during the previous month to reinforce the administration’s efforts in the struggle against coronavirus, the federal transporter stated on Saturday.
Even though 305’Oxygen Express’ trains have finished their journey up to now, six wealthy trains are all on the series with over 420 tonnes of liquid chemical oxygen from 26 tankers.
Assam obtained its third Oxygen Express on Saturday using 80 tonnes of liquid chemical oxygen in four tankers.
One of the southern countries, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and also Telangana have obtained over 1,600 tonnes of liquid chemical oxygen every day.
More than 20,770 tonnes of liquid chemical oxygen has been sent to 39 towns in 15 countries in over 1,237 tankers during the previous month, as stated by the federal transporter.
‘Oxygen Express’ trains began their own deliveries 35 months back on April 24 at Maharashtra having a heap of 126 tonnes.
The trains delivered liquid chemical oxygen into 15 countries – Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Telangana, Punjab, Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Assam.
Thus far, 614 tonnes of oxygen was offloaded at Maharashtra, almost 3,731 tonnes from Uttar Pradesh, 656 tonnes at Madhya Pradesh, 5,327 tonnes at Delhi,” 1,967 tonnes at Haryana, 98 tonnes at Rajasthan, 1,994 tonnes at Karnataka, 320 tonnes at Uttarakhand, 1,735 tonne at Tamil Nadu, 1,668 tonnes at Andhra Pradesh, 225 tonnes at Punjab, 380 tonnes at Kerala, 1,770 tonnes at Telangana, 38 tonnes at Jharkhand and 240 tonnes at Assam.
Even the railways has mapped distinct paths with oxygen distribution places and retains itself prepared without the emerging demand of those countries.
The countries provide tankers into the Railways for attracting liquid oxygen.
Criss-crossing the Nation, the Indian Railways is selecting oxygen in areas like Hapa, Baroda, Mundra from the west and also Rourkela, Durgapur, Tatanagar, Angul from the east and delivering it into Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Telangana, Punjab, Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Assam in complicated usable route planning situations.
