Rain causes rice losses in the field of Punjab, Grain Market

Bathinda: The rain that destroyed the area on Saturday night and Sunday morning caused damage to rice plants ready to be harvested.
Rain also adds water content in rice to be lowered to the grain market for sale.
The situation was learned to be the worst in the Amritsar border district and Tarn Taran where Rain was followed by Hailstorm and Lightening.
Paddy’s arrow has delayed due to bad weather in the last week of September and early October, but the rain on Saturday came at the most inappropriate time for those who had been harvested and those who were ready for harvest.
With rain, harvesting will be postponed and those who have been in Mandis with crops may have to wait for water content to fall.
During a visit to the Barnala wheat market on Sunday morning, it was seen that rainwater flowed between stacks and sacks loaded with rice.
Without the right settings to fully cover the pile of rice, many farmers get wet.
This is separated from the fact that the Indian Metrology Department has predicted rain on October 23-24.
“We have brought the harvest in the shower on Saturday afternoon.
We are waiting for plants to be bought but wet in the rain at night.
Both commission agents and government agencies have also made the right arrangements to save plants from weather variations,” said Singh carnail farmers and Sukhwant Singh, who sits on the Barnala wheat market.
Harjinder Harjinder Singh at Rampura Phool Grain Market said the plants lowered in the open had been wet after the rain and needed time to be suitable for procurement.
“We harvest the harvest on Sundays, but the rain at the most inappropriate time has been delayed further because now we have to wait a few more days for harvesting, because taking a combination in the fields may not be easy,” said Farmer Mohinder Singh from Ralla Village Mansa.
Plants that are ready to be harvested are flattened in several places because of rain and wind.
Apart from the bureaucratic disputes, farmers also have to face natural anger, the state government must provide compensation for farmers for the losses they spend, said the Punjab agricultural group Kisan Union ‘Mansa Leader Gora Singh Bhainibagha.
A senior official of the Punjab state agricultural marketing board who did not want to be named said adequate tarps arrangements had been made to save farmers and plants purchased but were not lifted from Mandis.
However, it might not be possible to cover each stack.
He added.
BKU EKTA Ugrahan (EU) has decided to continue unlimited protests from Monday after a week for fair compensation to farmers whose cotton plants have been damaged due to a pink bollworm attack.
The organization’s country’s body held a meeting in Gurdwara in Bathinda on Sunday and announced that a large number of farmers along with family members would reach the Bathinda administrative complex on Monday, even after violating Cordon if the barricade was stopped.
The Secretary of State BKU (UE) Shingara Singh Mann said the government was proven to be as cruel with farmers and even Charanjit Singh Channi’s first minister imposed a drama to Him to become a friendly poor because he had not completed the girdawari (income assessment).
A month after his visit.
Channi has visited Bathinda villages on September 26 to ensure rapid compensation, but now has asked officials to complete Goldings on October 29.
It seems that the government wants to get a fairness of farmer’s anger.
Now, along with rain cause losses of rice plants, we will now demand compensation for rice farmers.
