The heavy shower, the weight over the past two days has caused extensive damage to rice plants in all districts, especially in Atta Gujran, Jaganpur and villages around Dankaur, and the District of Uttar Pradesh adjacent.
On Monday, Krishna Nagar, the President of the Kisan District Etta Sangh (KES), said farmers had brought the burden of increasing food and fuel recently and unlimited rainfall only increased their misery.
He looked for a direct survey of damage and assistance from the state government.
“We visited Atta Gujran, Jaganpur, and villages around the Dankaur area to see the rice arrows of the farmers and found that they had suffered a lot because of heavy rainfall over the past two days.
Rain has destroyed their rice plants,” said Nagar.
Dr.
Vikas Pradhan, members of the KES, also accused the government to increase the price of food and diesel “uncertain”.
“This has regrosted farmers when they face a livelihood crisis.
Now they have to face the burden of losing plants because of unexpected rain,” Pradhan said.
The body of the farmers demanded that the state and administrative governments must increase efforts to provide assistance to farmers by conducting a survey of damaged plants.
Plant damage has also been reported from Bijnor and Amroha, where the surface of the water in Ganga has doubled from 22,000 cusecs to 45,000 cusecs due to heavy rainfall in the plains and neighboring hills of Uttarakhand.
The Bijnor District Agriculture Officer, Avdhesh Mishra, said, “Heavy rainfall has caused huge losses for rice, mustard, and pulse farmers in this district.
Our survey report has not arrived.
According to the initial findings, the rain has caused a loss of 30% in rice plants.
“In Meerut, who witnessed heavy rainfall (54mm), rice plants harvested and lying in the fields had been damaged.
Bablu Jatalyi, a farmer in Meerut, said, “After harvesting the harvest gets wet, black takes almost half of the price we have in a normal state.
I have 15 bighas land and have harvested 40% of plants.
It takes time for me to judge Losses.
“Senior Agricultural Scientist at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Agriculture University in Meerut, Dr.
Sengar Hospital, told Tii,” Unlimited rainfall will have a bad impact on rice harvested.
However, this rain will also encourage sowing other plants such as potatoes And potatoes.
Mustard sprinkled immediately after rice harvest.
Farmers need time not only to harvest plants but also to prepare land for new plants.
This is not a good situation at all.
