Bhubaneswar: Most places in the state tend to witness rainfall for the next two days because of the influence of low pressure on Tuesday which has formed Bengal Bay, said IMD on Wednesday.
There are opportunities for heavy rainfall in remote places in certain districts, but in most of it it will not be as big as predicted.
H R Biswas, Director of the Central IMD center, said rainfall will decrease on Saturday.
Lakan Chandra Sahu, Director of the Center for the Environment and Climate in SOA is considered a university, said the system would not provide a lot of rain as expected.
However, the state government continues to monitor the pattern of rainfall so as to prevent unwanted incidents.
The IMD rainfall report recorded on Wednesday morning said Tena in the Sundergarh district recorded 82.8 mm high rainfall in the last 24 hours.
