New Delhi: Border Points Delhi witnessed traffic rain during Peak Morning Hours Friday as commercial vehicles entered the national capital facing difficulties to pay toll fees online at the third consecutive outlet, the taxi and commercial vehicle association said.
The public public also faces traffic congestion.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has implemented a radio frequency identification tag (RFID) in all 124 entry points into the city.
The Civic Agency has announced that effective July no commercial vehicles will be permitted without RFID tags.
This order was implemented from Wednesday at all 124 toll plazas except for 11 where farmers protested.
“Toll operators have been directed to collect toll costs through RFID alone and do not receive cash.
Smarl traffic is just the initial hiccup that will be intended because our team constantly works to relieve the process,” said an SDMC official.
Sanjay Samrat, Delhi President Taxi Association Transport Transport Transport, said that the long queue was seen in the Border Toll Plaazas which led to congestion and also losses from commercial companies.

This is mainly because the RFID SDMC sensor repeatedly failed to read the tag and therefore created a problem,” he said.
“We have met the SDMC authority and demanded that the RFID system must be mandatory only from September 30, not July 1,” Samrat said.
According to citizenship officials almost 5 tags RFID Lakh has been sold so far.
Commer also complained about traffic congestion on the border.
“I usually need 45 minutes to reach my office in Chanakya Puri from Noida but it takes more than one hour to reach my goal , which is trapped in DND on the way to the office.
