Kolkata: The KMC roads department found it difficult to travel main road repairs throughout the city due to consistent rain.
It has set the October 3 deadline to complete the drive repair.
The Civic Body’s Roads Wing has identified 450 city road stretches and pathways that need to be repaired in three weeks.
According to the KMC Roads Department, the Civic Agency requires dry mantra to begin the repair process.
“We have started a journey on the road and a smaller path.
But we need at least 7 hours of dry spells to complete a large stretch of repair from the main road.
We come into contact with Alipore’s Met offices and will travel simultaneous road repairs in North and South Kolkata according to their advice, “said a KMC senior official related to the drive.
As part of a preparedness plan, the KMC has formed a Borough-Wise team to oversee the main road repair drive.
While KMC roads and civil engineering engineers in region I, II and III will be entrusted to oversee road repairs in large areas, including Cossipore, Belgaachia, Ultangasa, Arabindo Sarani, RG Kar Karel, RG Kar, Bagbazar, Citizenship Officials from Borough IV, V and VI will be responsible for overseeing travel repairs in Chittaranjan Avenue, MG Road, Burrabazar, Bidhan Sarani, SN Banerjee Road, College Street, BB Ganguli.
Engineers from Boroughs VII, VIII, IX and X will be assigned to see repair drives in the large area of ​​South Kolkata which includes Bhowanipore, Alipore, Harish Mukherjee Road, Rashbehari Avenue, Newhapran Sashmal Road, Anwar Shah Road, Garahat Road, NSC Bose Road and Raja Subodh Mullick Road.
Citizenship officials from areas added such as Raich Park, Metiabruz, Kidderpore, Behala, Garar, Jadavpur and large areas located outside the East Metropolitan Bypass will monitor drive repairs that may begin this weekend.
