Patna: Patna and many other districts in southern Bihar and are receiving light to heavy intensity rainfall on Friday under the influence of low pressure areas.
Rainfall is likely to continue for the next two days even though the intensity will gradually reduce.
Places that received significant rainfall on Friday included Sheikhpura (184.5mm), Nawada (144.2mm), Jhajha (117.6mm) and Panchrukhi in Siwan (100.6mm).
An official at Patna Meteorological Center said Bihar got rain because of two different weather systems.
“Monsun has been active in all states.
As a result, medium intensity rain witnessed in all places, along with very heavy rainfall,” he said.
Then officially added, “The low pressure area in Jharkhand shifts in the southwest of Bihar on Friday.
The system is likely to win for two to three days too.
Thus, the intensity of medium rainfall to very heavy expected for two to three days to Home.
Rainfall is likely to be relatively higher in the northeastern part of the country.
“The official added that the withdrawal of Southwest Monsun was not possible for the next two to three days.
