Rainfall: 727 Dams in 4 Divisions Filled 72% in Raj

Jaipur: Unrelenting rainfall in the last three weeks has fulfilled the dam in Rajasthan to the level last year, saved the desert country from a situation such as drought.
The numbers issued by the State Water Resources Department said that 727 Dams in four Divisions Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and the city filled up to 71.60% on October 5, while notes 71.75% recorded on September 30, 2020.
The numbers from fixed Three Divisions of Ajmer, Bharatpur and Bikaner are not available.
261 Jaipur Dam has exceeded the water retaining capacity of 2020 times 3% which means more water for irrigation.
The city division led by reaching 97% of the total capacity of 10% higher than the previous year.
Baran and the city are just two districts where all the dams – small and large have been filled with 100% of their water making water available in abundance for irrigation and domestic use.
The whole country expects the Hadot region under the rule of severe drought until the first week of September with almost all dams filled less than 50% of capacity.
In addition to the dam in the city, Ghambiri, Orai and Bass Dam in Chittorgarh, Mahi Bajaj Sagar in Banswara, the Parwati Dam in Dholpur, Gudha Dam Bundi, Sagar and Devpura in Sawai Madhopur has filled 100% of its capacity.
In the Jaipur district, Ramsa Mara Nevta and Kanota each filled 90% and 80%, while the remaining dam was far below making an average occupancy of 20.62%.
Toi called the Secretary of the Department of Water Resources, Dr.
Prithvi Raj for his comments on the water in the dam but he did not respond.
The source said that the department will conduct a rainfall review to classify the water based on the water-accumulated water.
Reviews will decide which regions / districts will receive grants and help.
Rajesh Goyal, the main scientist, the Arid Central Zone Research Institute, told Tii, “Unexpected rain in September was like hitting each ball out of the fence in the final overs.
