Pune: The state’s rainfall activity is likely to be subdued for the next few days, estimates of the Indian Indian Meteorolour Department.
Rainfall activities are expected to increase in July, said IMD.
“There is no strong system in or around Maharashtra.
Partially, the western wind has strengthened,” said Anupam Kashyapi, Head of the Weather Forecasting Division at IMD Pune.
He said that the formation of a low pressure area was expected in early July, which would help in the resurrection of the monsoon.
In accordance with the weather forecast, Konkan-Goa will get rainfall below normal, while other regions will get a normal rain or slightly above normal.
“The heavens are generally cloudy with light rain,” is an estimate for Pune until July 1.
Konkan-Goa is likely to get widespread rainfall – 75% of the region will get light to medium rain.
“Applicable meteorological conditions, large-scale atmospheric features and wind patterns by the dynamic model show that there are no favorable conditions that tend to develop for further progress from southwest mononsuns to the remaining parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and Punjab for 6- 7 days ahead, “said Imd Surdu-India Report Heather Report.
Regional weather reports say strong winds with wind speeds reaching 40-50kmph in the Arab Sea are probably until July 1.
Fishermen are advised not to explore this area during this period.
