Bhubaneswar: Estimated IMD on Wednesday said lightweight rainfall will continue in several parts of the coastal district and next to four days since Friday, bringing fear of Dussehra’s mood dampers.
Rain will occur under the influence of cyclone circulation above Bay Bengal and its environment and is expected to change to low pressure in the same region on Thursday.
After that, the weather system will move West-North Westwards towards South Odisha and North Coast Andhra Pradesh.
Director of IMD, Regional Center, H R Biswas said there was a possibility of heavy rainfall in remote places in certain districts.
He said the intensity of rainfall will depend on the possible movement of the system.
Previously, it was expected to hit the beach as a low pressure which was well marked.
Biswas said on Thursday, the chances of moderate rainfall would also continue in several places in the coastal bag in scattered ways.
There is a possibility of cloudy weather or one or two light spells to moderate rainfall for two to three days ahead, he added.
“We have many plans and programs for Puja.
It will be really moistened if there is rain,” recognizing Pravat Sarangi, an IT professional.
West-West Monsun has been withdrawn from 19 of the 30 districts in the last two days.
This includes complete withdrawals from select 11 districts and some of the rest of the area.
Biswas said the state would likely witness profitable conditions after the influence of a system that might be reduced.
