JIND: Heavy rainfall causes waterlogging in Thua Village, Maandi and Sandeel in the Uchana Block Kalan in Jind District.
The outer ring built outside the village Thua was broken after heavy rains with water entering the road and field too.
According to villagers, around 600 acres of land are under two to three feet.
Uchan Kalan HR Rajesh Khoth visited the villages along with other employees and began rescue steps.
They started pumping water with the help of a diesel pump set.
Khoth said every preventive step was being taken and water was summoned out of the field also from the streets.
Farmer losses are being assessed and the right actions will be taken.
The main focus is to provide assistance to villagers, he added.
