Jaipur: The Chairman of the Minister of Ashok Gehlot underwent angioplasty at the government-managed SMS Hospital on Friday after he complained of chest pain.
“There is a 90% blockage in one of his coronary arteries and one stent was embedded successfully.
He was really fine,” said Dr.
Sudhir Bhandari, principal of SMS Medical College.
“The procedure is not smooth and post-procedure, he recovered well.
He is asymptomatic and cheerful,” said Bhandari, as he added that the minister’s chairman had suggested a total break for two-three days.
The Chairperson of the third-year-old minister has tested the positive Coronavirus in April this year, and since then he has grappled with post-covid complications.
Gehlot has canceled his trip to Delhi on Thursday night to discuss with the high party command on the cabinet reshuffle and political promises of health reasons.
Dr.
Bhandari said Gehlot complained about his chest and pain in the neck after the ECG was done normally.
“However, we advise us to complete coronary angiography CT and discords detected in one of the main arteries.
Because there is a 90% blockage, one stent is placed,” said Dr.
Bhandari.
“Cm ​​has suffered a post-covid syndrome and this heart complication seems to be part of the post-covid problem.
The status of the Kardix is ​​really healthy before Covid with a normal CT Coronary Angiography,” said Dr.
Bhandari in a medical bulletin.
He said Gehlot expressed confidence and faith in the team and infrastructure in the hospital.
He said Gehlot was registered as a common citizen in the Rajasthan government health scheme which was just launched (RGHS) to complete angioplasty.
Previously on that day, Gehlot had tweeted that he would undergo angioplasty.
“Post Covid-19, I experienced health problems and since yesterday (Thursday), I was seriously ill in my chest.
Just finished my CT angiography at SMS and Angioplasty Hospital would be done,” he said.
“I am happy that I finish it at the SMS Hospital.
I’m fine and will be back soon.
Thanks to you and good hope is with me,” he said.
Angioplasty is a procedure for opening clogged heart arteries.
Gehlot was accompanied by a hospital by Minister of Health Raghu Sharma, Head of Whip Mahesh Joshi, Mla Rafiq Khan and officials from his office.
Governor Kalaraj Mishra spoke with Gehlot by telephone and hoped he would recover quickly.
Former pilot Deputy CM Sachin was also called Health Minister Sharma and the son of the minister’s chairman, Vaibhav Gehlot, and asked about his health.
The pilot also hopes Gehlot fast recovery.

Former CM Vasundhara Raje also hopes fast recovery.
