Jaipur: The loss of two leading Men’s Tigers ST-13 and ST-23 has triggered the main search operation at Sariska Tiger Reserve (STR).
There has been no trace of the St-13 tiger for more than three weeks, while Tiger ST-23 has been lost for a week.
The source said the two men’s tigers were inhabited in the same reserve area which included the talvriksh range, the range of Akbarpur including Raika, Pani Ka Dhal and other regions in Sariska Forest.
The Ministry of Forestry also has a night without sleep because the eight-year-old tiger radio collar has stopped functioning.
The allowance operation has begun after which is around 25 teams, which works to track big cats.
“The ST-23 is a young tiger and often disappears for several days since it has no collar.
Likewise, after the recent rainfall ST-13 cannot be traced,” said a source.
