New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit the government over the increase in important commodity prices on Saturday and accused “Raj Tax Extortion” in the country.
“People are frustrated because the exortion of Raj Taxes that apply in the country,” he said in a tweet in Hindi and marked media reports which quoted a survey that claimed that most Indians were worried about price increases and predicted their price decline in income.
In another tweet, Gandhi shared images from protests organized by Congress in various parts of the country with price increases.
He also shared the screen of his deprivation with party social media workers on online events on Friday and tweeted in Hindi: “We will stand each other – we are not afraid.” Overcoming party workers, the former Head of Congress told those who were afraid of facing reality and BJP was free to leave a party, while the fearless leaders from outside the party had to be taken in.
