Jaipur: Police Shyam Nagar arrested the duo of the sons for allegedly deceiving Investors Rs 10 Crore by promising them a guaranteed return.
The police said that a FIR was submitted on September 18, where the victim was alleged that he had transferred Rs 1,07.50,000 to a bank account of two people to trade in the stock market.
A few days later, he tried to talk to the traders but they had turned off their cellphones.
The police identified the defendant as Rama Kant Khandelwal (46), and his son Rakshit Khandelwal (25).
Both of them are residents of the Vaishali Nagar area.
The police said that the duo escaped as soon as they learned that a FIR was asked against them.
“We found that they had shifted to the Tonk district.
When our team arrived there, we found that the defendant had moved to Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
The police arrested the defendant from there and took them to Jaipur,” said an official.
The police claimed that they studied during the investigation that the defendant took money at various stages of investors by promising a higher return.
After money is deposited to their account, they will quickly withdraw money by transferring them to some of their bank accounts.
