Jaipur: The Central Investigation Bureau (CB) submitted a chargesheet against 18 who was accused of alleged their involvement in causing the loss of almost Rs 209 Crore to Syndicate Bank.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the agency said Chargesheet was delivered before the Special Judge Court, the CBI case in Jaipur.
The agency named 18 people who included a rented accountant and former Bank Syndicate officials, among others.
The CBI said that it had registered a case back in 2017, following complaints from the Bank’s regional office located in Jaipur, which accused 118 loans approved and distributed from three bank branches located in Jaipur and Udaipur.
“118 loans are housing loans, futures loans for commercial property purchases in the World Trade Park (WTP), among others,” said the agency in the statement.
In accordance with agents, Udaipur based CA, identified as Bharat bombs, along with their employees and others hatched conspiracies with bank officials in Jaipur and Udaipur to provide sanctions of various credit facilities.
“Allegations thus cheating banks with RS 209.93 crore tones (approximately) on the basis of documents, bills, quotes, certificates, etc.
Also alleged that some borrowers are found in ordinary employees in companies owned by CA and others, and ( They) do not qualify for such high-value loans, “said the agency.
During the investigation, the CBI found that the defendant approached the Jaipur Bank branch located on Jalan MI, looking for futures loans to buy commercial property and units at the World Trade Park Ltd., based on a refund of a forging income tax showing income of borrowers, forging quotes, invoices, purchase orders, work order, and fake CA certificates along with audited financial statements.
It was also the allegation that the manager at that time from the MI Road Bank branch was recommended and then the Head of the GMS / Branch to sanction various credit facilities by violating bank guidelines and without conducting a thorough test.
The bank officer allegedly described a futures loan for the purchase of commercial property, residential property, and loan the term working capital to various individuals, companies and companies related to the defendant.
“Searching is also carried out in various premises (The) accused.
Further investigation will be done to see the roles accused of others,” said the body.
