Ajmer: Gang six people, including three women from Indore, was arrested by Bhilwara police on Wednesday to loot car owners on the highway.
Defendant Rohit, 32, Atish, 28, Shanker Pradhan, 25, Lata, 30, Nisha alias Nitu, 29, and Shashikala, 27, all of them from Indore Madhya Pradesh.
According to the police, thousands of worshipers visited Bhilwara to pay respect for a Jain religious teacher who had camped here for several days.
Seeing the number of worshipers, gang members hatched plans to loot vehicles on the highway.

When some vehicle owners stopped, male members from the gang attacked the owner and looted him.
Information, Kotwali police reached the place and arrested all six accused.
The police said only one controlling case by the gang was revealed, but they were looking for other victims who had not yet come to the police to report the problem.
They also recover ropes, knives and sticks from ownership of male members.
The police claimed that during the interrogation of Geng members claimed to have committed a similar crime on a different road to escape from the police.
