Raj Govt Breaks NGT Orders on Construction in Mt Abu

Jaipur: In a hurry to change the Zonal Master-2030 plan to allow construction in the ECO sensitive zone (ESZ) MT Abu, the state government ignores the command of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) recently issued to maintain sanity.
About 330 SQKM protected areas.
City allegedly also did not seek participation of stakeholders including the Ministry of Forestry.
TimesView time when plans are being formed to frame forest conservation policies, initiatives to change the fragile belt status ecologically in the MT Abu Zonal Master Plan-2030 of the ‘no construction zone’ which is strictly for ‘permitted zones’ shows the state claim state dishonest to preserve the forest.
The government must reconsider the decision because this will not only kill habitat for wildlife, including the Bear Sloth and leopards, but will also destroy the Historic Nakki Lake.
The official source of the senior said, “According to the NGT order on March 10, 2021, the ZMP revision must be carried out by the authorities concerned consult with the nine member committees suffered by the command of Vit Tribunal November 7, 2019.
However, there is no information.” Ngt has also directed All empty patches in ESZ must be decorated by city corporations.
Buffer around the waterways, wetlands and forests must be maintained and protected.
ZMP-2030 from Mount Abu was told on October 29, 2015 after being approved by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Mo-EF & CC) on September 28, 2015.
The official source in Forest said, “The municipality may be confused and moving can be challenged When receiving the approval of Moef, he has mentioned that the area would not be a construction zone.
“Meanwhile, denied the claim that the prohibited zone would be open for construction, Head of Rajasthan City Planner, RK Vijayvargiya said,” Areas without construction zones are not defined .
We have started exercise to mention the land where outside the construction zone and where construction is allowed.
“The local Civic Agency has begun to discuss the land use norms of ‘there are no construction zones’ in the area between Lake Nakki and the famous Dilwara Temple for’ The construction zone is permitted ‘for the interests of strong interests that have a lot of land in Dal am the area.
According to the document with TOI, on June 18, the Directorate of Local Agency (DLB) issued an order to MT Abu Municipality to begin the process to change MT Abu (ESZ) to build regulations, 2019, to carry out construction in the area that is prohibited.
After this, on July 2, the municipality invited objections and suggestions within 15 days of the public.
The problem was highlighted after the proposal to change the use of land submitted at the City Council meeting on August 4 and local residents also thought that the decision would kill the historic nakki lake because construction would be permitted in the water catchment area because there were countless waterways on this land carrying water to the lake.
