Jaipur: The state government has extended the luxurious tenure of the Mayor of Dhabai for 60 days.
Orders were issued by the Directorate of Local Agencies on Wednesday.
Dhabai was appointed as a mayor who permeated after the overthrow of the Somya Gurjar for allegedly provoking board members to attack JMC Yagya’s commissioner Mitra Singh Deo.
Dhabai has served as Mayor of Jaipur a decade ago and after Gurjar was suspended, he became an OBC woman, given another opportunity.
New elections must be made among members of the council to select new board members.
A high court lawyer said, “Dhabai will be able to continue as a mayor who leads for six months according to Act Rajasthan Municipality.”
