Jaipur: The state government has ordered for one dose of sputnik and is likely to get it after a Russian company of cold storage problems will be sorted.
The decision was made by the state government to ensure the supply of an unbroken vaccine and to have additional options for beneficiaries looking for free vaccination.
Previously, Health Minister Raghu Sharma had announced to get a vaccine from a Russian company and even from other companies while the state received a discounted vaccine supply.
“We have ordered it for 1 dose lakh.
There are some problems related to cold storage.
We are waiting for their final confirmation of supply,” said Siddharth Mahajan, Secretary, Medical Education to the Toi.
He added that even the supply of the United States is now a little better.
“The decision to take a direct vaccine from various companies abroad is taken to meet the crisis,” he added.
Meanwhile on Friday, 4,02,947 issued their Jab where 2,78,642 had their first dose while 1,24,305 had a second dose in 200 central.
On Friday, the state received 3.65,000 covishield doses and 2,00,000 doses of covaxin.
