Jaipur: The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has provided a tap water connection to every household in 1,001 villages under Jal Jeevan Mission- ‘Har Ghar Jal’ so far.
Minister Phed Mahesh Joshi said they would ensure the tap water connection to all country rural households in 2024.
In addition, drinking water was supplied to more than 90 percent of families in 617 villages, more than 80 percent of households in 705 villages, and more Of the 70 percent families in 772 villages through the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ connection scheme.
At present, the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ connection is given to around 3,000 new rural families every day in total.
Under JJM so far, approval for 86.21.450 ‘HARH JAL JAL’ has been issued in 9,316 rural drinking water projects, including 128 major drinking water projects at 35,776 villages and 9,188 multi and single village projects.
