Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced the EX-Gratia RS 2 Lakh each from PMNRF to the next relatives of those who lost their lives because of lightning in some parts of Rajasthan.
RS 50,000 will be given to the injury, Modi says in his tweet.
Lightning created Havoc at the end of the night of night when at least 22 people including 9 children died after they were shocked by lightning.
Of these, 11 deaths were reported at Jaipur, when several tourists, who went out for sightseeing at Amer’s fortress on Sunday late Sunday to enjoy the pleasant weather, beaten by lightning.
Also, 4 children died in the city and 3 in Dholpur.
Apart from this, 3 deaths due to lightning were reported from various Rajasthan regencies, confirmed officials.
Previously, in Garda Village in the Kanwas area from Kota Regency, 4 children, who had gone to graze livestock, died after lightning hit them.
Three other children died of lightning in Kudinna Village Dholpur District.
They also went to graze the goat.
A young man died of lightning in the village of Daulatpur Sawai Madhopur.
Apart from this, three more people died because of lightning in different places in the state.
The Head of Minster Ashok Gehlot has declared condolences for this death.
The state government has also announced compensation to the next relatives of the deceased.
