Jaipur: Pratapgarh has been the first district of the state to vaccinate 100% of the 18 populations with the second dose against Covid.
What succeeds in profitable is the district strategy involving locals in vaccinating people.
Camps were held in villages and public representatives such as Sarpanch, local NGOs, social activists and religious leaders helped create awareness about vaccination.

Covid health assistant recruitment also helps the health department in increasing vaccination drive in the district.
“We recruited 451 Covid health assistants for 235 grams of Panchayats.
While recruiting them, we ensure that they must belong to the area where it must work so that workers using local connections will be able to encourage people to vaccinate.
We also take public representative assistance and ensure That vaccination must be carried out in every village.
We also see it that not one single house is abandoned.
We are planning a micro-level strategy to improve drive vaccination, “said Dr.
Wisnu Dayal Meena, Head of Medical Health Officer (Pratapgarh).
He said that the majority of the population in Pratapgarh Regency consisted of tribes and some areas were difficult to reach.
“Even though there are difficulties, we reach 100% of the first dose vaccination and the two populations,” he said.
The district has a vaccination target of 6,52,061 people aged 18 years.
Pratapgarh is the first district to achieve the first dose vaccination in the state, while it stands first in vaccination 18+ with the first dose and both Covid-19 vaccines.
