Raj: ‘Monsun to stay weak until Sunday, Mercury will soar’

Jaipur: With an active western disorder, southeast western winds becomes weak on Monday as a light shower which is only witnessed throughout the state.
Jaipur Met Office said for the coming week, the weather would primarily dry in the state and mercury likely to take the swing up.
There are no major rainfall activities expected throughout the state at least until Sunday.

Meanwhile, light shower was witnessed in several places in the City Division and Udaipur.

It was followed by 40mm up to 10mm rainfall in many places in the city, Jhalawar, Tonk and other places.
This season so far, even though the country has received a 15% surplus rainfall, the upcoming dry mantra might reduce this percentage.
“And after this week there will be a need for rainfall to ensure the right flow of water in reservoirs and dams that serve drinking water needs from various districts throughout the country,” said an officer with the Department of Water Resources.
