Jaipur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday set six traps throughout the state and arrest civil servants involved in accepting bribes from Jaipur, Tonk, Jaipur, Sriganganagar and Nagaur.
The defendant who was arrested was the chairman of Saras Dairy, Tonk.
A team ACB got a complaint that Durga Lal Jaat, Chairman of Saras Dairy in Tonk, demanded bribery from the dairy farmer as a substitute to stretch milk.
The body put a trap.
“We were told by the complainers, who were dairy farmers, that Jaat asked him to bribe Rs 5 Lakh with a substitute to stretch the soft milk for a year.
So, I told my team to put a trap.
On Monday, our team captured Durga Lal together with One Jaat Ramdayal for accepting RS 2 Lakh’s bribe, “Bl Soni, Director General, ACB, told toi.
He added that the team stormed the office and housing place.
The case below the right part of the prevention of the Corruption Act has also been registered with it.
Likewise, the ACB team in Jaipur arrested an Executive Engineer of the Department of Public Works (PWD) along with an account officer and the other two for accepting bribes of Rs 30,000.
“Ajehet Jangid’s accusation, executive engineer, demanded bribery to release the complainant security deposit,” said a senior officer ACB.
In Sriganganagar, Patwari was arrested by ACB for accepting bribes of Rs 3,000.
On the other hand in Nagaur, a PWD executive engineer was arrested for accepting bribes of Rs 20,000.
