Jaipur: The Rajasthan government on Sunday announced the closure of schools in urban areas, Sunday night hours, the deadline for the market and hats at residential in restaurants and cinemas remembering the surge in Covid-19 cases.
Fresh guidelines are intended to tighten restrictions on the movement and public activities because of the coronavirus case and the omicron variant which has only spread rapidly in the state.
According to guidelines issued by the home department, schools to 12th grade in the city and city corporate areas will be closed until January 30.
Online class will continue as before, which is stated.
Previously, the government had announced the closing of the school for grade 1 to 8 to January 17 in the Jaipur and Jodhpur Municipal Corporation area.
The guideline said the school would be closed since Monday, but the rest of the restrictions will take effect from January 11.
The authorities have also decided to force the curfew from 11pm on Saturday to 5 in the morning on Monday to stop the spread of the disease.
During the period tonight, all markets, workplaces and commercial complexes will remain closed, the guidelines are stated.
However, the factory with sustainable production cycles and night shifts, IT and e-commerce, chemical shops, wedding related services, emergency services, bus stations and train stations, and health services are excluded.
Shopping, malls, and other commercial companies will be allowed to open until 8pm, while restaurants and clubs can operate until 10pm with 50 percent of seating capacity, according to the guidelines.
