Jaipur: Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (Rvunl) has run out of cash to pay coal and continue to run state power plants.
This turned off 600 MW Kalisindh thermal power plant unit on August 11 and turned off the second unit with the same capacity on August 15.
Now, it seems that the thermal power plant is 1,500-MW of the next.
Most of the power generation from the country has coal for one or two days and it takes 2-3 days to transport it from the mine in the eastern part of the country.

State Power Generator Company (Rvunl) owed Rs 850 Crore to Indian Coal and RS 1,850 Crore to Parsa Kanta Collieries Ltd (PKCL).
Recently, the two coal suppliers have rvunl whose supply will be disturbed if the contribution is not paid.
In fact, Indian coal has stopped supply in recent weeks and only continued with one recent people.
The CCL began to supply with a limited capacity after being paid RS 375 Crore recently.
With a deadly Kalisindh unit, the discount now bought power from exchanges around Rs 17 per unit during the night, or rush hour.
“How can you expect power costs not to rise if the discount must pay Rs 17 per unit.
This is a consumer who must bear the burden,” said the official Resom Jaipur who chose anonymity.
Because the crisis has reached the highest level of the government, officials from discoms and Rvunl are closed.

“Diskomes buy power from plants but does not fully pay.
They owe around RS 2900 Crore to Rvunl, which in turn has taken a loan around Rs 2.4000 Crore to fulfill its expenses, including buying coal.

Earlier this month, Rvunl paid Rs 125 Crore to Indian coal to continue inventory.
But Indian coal has decided to supply only 3 rakes.
All government power plants need 16 coal rakes per day (one rake contains 4000 tons).
PKCL is also reluctant to agree to supply 4-5 rakes a day.
“Even then, the power plant must run on a normal half capacity needed to supply the power to consumers.
In that situation, the discount will not have a choice but to buy expensive power from energy exchanges,” said the discome official quoted.
