Jaipur: The fast antigen test that was rejected by the state government in the past year for a diagnosis of Covid is now widely used for filtering purposes.
Since May 17, more than 7.6-lakh the rapid antigen test has been carried out.
Of these, 3,320 was tested positive for viruses with a level of 1.4% leverage.
During the same period, 34 lakh samples were tested through the RT-PCR provided a positive 1.2 lakh report for viruses with a 3.4% lifespan level.
Officials said the difference was caused by an antigen test that was quickly used for screening purposes.
The state government began using a quick antigen test under a special drive on May 17 to detect cases in each state block.
“We have used fast antigen tests in rural areas for filtering purposes for Covid.
We started when the second wave was almost at its peak during mid-May,” said a senior health department official.
Since then, the state government has used it in border sharing areas with other countries such as Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
Officials said those who entered the state of the South were tested through a quick antigen test.
In Jaipur, more than 99,252 people were tested for Covid through a quick antigen test, which was the highest in any district.
From the sample, 240 was positively tested for Covid with a level of prisoner of 0.2%.
In Alwar too, the Ministry of Health conducted testing through a quick antigen test because they tested 50,250 samples and from 155 they were found to be infected with a virus.
Since then, Alwar is close to Delhi and Haryana, has used a rapid antigen test on travelers who often cross the country’s border to work.
Also, it is used in rural areas for discraning aiming for Covid.
“Because the test gives a direct report, it helps us in people’s screening,” the official said.
Udaipur, which is one of the worst districts in the state, using an antigen test that is aggressively.
The Ministry of Health tested 49,708 people and found 144 samples infected with the level of counselors of 0.3%.
